Back to school is basically here, and we as parents are having to make some hard decisions when it comes to in person, online, or breaking away and homeschooling on your own. There is somebody out there that will not agree with what you decide to do, but what’s great is their opinion doesn’t matter, unless it’s the other parent, which is a different ball game. You get to weigh all the options and make the best decision for you and your kids. I support you in whatever decision you make, because you are the parent and know what’s best.
If your kiddos are going back to school, we want to support their bodies the best we can, and build up that immune system. It seems like school germs have always been a problem, and even healthy kids get sick, but just maybe they bounce back faster, and get sick less. Worth a shot, right?!? So let’s go through the ways we are supporting our kids bodies during this unknown time.
This will always be one of the most important things to focus on. If you are giving your kids sugar, artificial dyes, and junk, then their body does not have what it needs to work properly. Trust me, I know it’s not the easiest and there could be some feeding therapy needed, but everyday we try to do better than the day before. There are so many other blogs out there about kids diets so I won’t go too far into that. I just know that it plays such a big role in supporting our bodies to function the best it can.
We know that with today’s diet we don’t get all the vitamins and minerals we need. Starting at an early age we give our kid’s extra vitamins. We have added in a multivitamin, probiotics, vitamin C, vitamin D if we are not able to get outside enough, and more.
We love the Young Living supplements because they have essential oils added in that make them absorb better which is giving our bodies more of those nutrients, and not being wasted.
Probiotics are so important, because your gut is such a vital part of your immune system and brain function. For minerals we either do a bath with Mineral Essence dropped in, or use the Unwind for extra magnesium.
One other thing that is super easy to add in is this colloidal silver spray. It has zero taste and my kids think I’m just spraying water in their mouth. Silver is found naturally and has been used for centuries from human health and supporting the immune system. It is also great to have on hand for cuts and scrapes. You can spray it right on the wound and the silver will promote healing.
Ningxia is a daily antioxidant that you can start giving as soon as they are ready for a sippy cup. Just 1-2 ounces a day with some water will help support their bodies. You can read more about the wolfberry (aka goji berry) and how amazing it is here.
We also use our oils everyday to support our immune systems and emotions. Supporting my kiddo’s immune system is why we got started with oils in the first place. I needed something to get us out of those preschool germs and 24/7 snotty noses. It stresses me out just thinking back to those days. We now use an immunity roller blend on our spine and bottoms of our feet every day. The blend includes thieves, oregano, lemon, & frankincense. The thieves blend is a mix of different oils that Gary Young created to support your immune system. Oregano is a natural antibiotic and antioxidant. Lemon helps your body detox, and frankincense is just amazing for everything and raises your frequency. These are my favorite roller bottles to use for DIY recipes.
We will also diffuse thieves with some cedarwood or lavender at night if we feel the need for a little boost. It’s perfect for the fall and what they call “f l u season” because the blend includes clove and cinnamon bark which is basically all the fall scents.

Whatever choice you make for school this fall I pray you feel supported, and confident with your choice. Let’s support those kid’s bodies so that they are strong and healthy. Remember mama, you are the gate keeper of your home. Every day you are leading by example and showing your kids what’s important and good. I pray everybody has a great school year!
